Why I feel FTP and Pokerstars should be allowed licenses in the USA, when and if HR 2267 is passed

Scott here with ya all!! Recent Amendments to Bill HR 2267, the bill which as passed the House commitee, and at some point in the future, will likely head to a House floor vote, then Senate, provides proper regulation and safeguards to allow offshore poker sites to get ONSHORE, incorporate, and to be licensed legally to serve USA citizens “online poker” This is why I now support this bill. However, in one Amendment, it states that any offshore site that violated the unlawful internet gambling act while in effect, will NOT BE ALLOWED a license in the USA..

I find this amendment to be unfair to those sites, namely Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker. In the past, I have questioned both of these sites integrity for various reasons. However, I beleive in a free market system that allows for real competition. such as what we are “said” to provide in The USA. Disallowing both PS and FTP will allow such sites as Party Poker, a tremendous market share, and give to them an unfair advantage in the open market. Therefore, I beleive the new Amendments to bill HR 2267 are clear violation of Robinson Pittman, designed to stop monopolies.

I say we start a new and clean slate for all online poker sites that have been offshore, and allow them ALL TO COMPETE LEGALLY in the USA!!
